Forearm bones

The bones of the forearm (ossa antebrachii) consist of two bones. The ulna is located medially, the radius is located laterally. These bones touch each other only at their ends, between their bodies there is an interosseous space of the forearm. Each bone consists of a body and two ends. The bodies of the bones have a triangular shape over a large area with three surfaces and three edges: one surface faces backwards, the other forwards, the third at the radius is laterally, at the ulna is medially. Of the three edges, one sharp one, separating the anterior surface from the posterior, faces the interosseous space. This is the interosseous margin (margo interosseus). Each bone of the forearm has characteristic features.
